Mylar Tape

The bopet film was developed by dupont, hoechst, and imperial chemical industries (ici) in the 1950s. Bopet film is a biaxially oriented polyester film made from stretched polyethylene terephthalate (pet) and because of its high tensile strength, chemical and dimensional stability, transparency, reflectivity, gas and aroma barrier properties, and electrical insulation, etc.

Features

Although this film slitted tape is not usually used as primary insulation, it is appropriate for shield isolation and insulation protection. It creates a thermal barrier between the two cable components and its tough material provides the cable with additional mechanical strength.
Polyester films have very good mechanical strength and are resistant against the most oils, grease, and solvents. Under normal circumstances polyester film has a very long life cycle and could be used within a temperature range of – 60°C and + 280°C.
Our insulation film is a polyester film that comes from garware polyesters limited with excellent insulation, mechanical, chemical and thermal features. These films offer great processibility and come in different thicknesses. It is widely used for electrical insulations.
